Surplus to Fancy; CZ-82 custom project.

Stripped old finish and polished out all the machine marks, removed import marks. I polished the sides of the slide to a high polish and bead blasted the top with course beads. Then nickel plated it. The extractor was high polished and blued for contrast. The frame was also polished to 1200 grit then blued with the barrel attached.
The grips are rosewood from Bangladesh.

Marlin 336 restoration

Marlin 336 restoration slide show

The bluing was restored on this first-generation Marlin model 336 lever action in 30-30 caliber.

There is a spot on the receiver that, appeared at first glance, to be a wear spot but I am guessing it may be bird dropping. Bird excrement contains acids that can easily remove the bluing. There was also wear from being carried for many years.

The screws and loading port cover was nitre blued to a iridescent blue.

The barrel bands and sling mount on the magazine tube were
niter blued to a gray color.
The receiver was polished to a master finish
